TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

UD Studyversity application

The owner and the operator of the UD Studyversity application (hereinafter referred to as the Application) is the University of Debrecen (registered seat: H-4032 Debrecen, Egyetem tér 1., VAT number: 15329750-4-09, institutional identification no.: FI 17198) (hereinafter referred to as the Operator).

 

User

These Terms and Conditions of Use stipulate the regulations with the acceptance of which the user of the Application (hereinafter referred to as the User) may use this Application. Before downloading and using the Application, the User shall accept that s/he shall be bound by the regulations hereof. By downloading the Application from Google Play and the Apple AppStore the User declares that s/he became aware of the content hereof and agrees to be bound by the stipulations hereunder.

 

The aim of the Application

The aim of the Application is to make the lives of the students of the University of Debrecen easier and provide them with recent and up-to-date information related to their education and beyond.

 

Right of unilateral modification

The Operator shall be at any time entitled to unilaterally modify this Terms and Conditions of Use (with prior notification of the Users), to amend it with new terms and conditions or to delete certain terms and conditions. In case of any change hereof, the further use of the Application by the User shall be considered as the automatic acceptance of the modifications. In case of any change of any nature hereof, the Operator shall send a notification to the Users via the Application.

 

Liability

Some of the links available in the Application may point to a website or open an application which is operated by a third party. The Operator is not entitled to check such contents provided by third parties, therefore, the Operator shall not be liable for these contents. The Operator shall not be liable for the precision, timeliness, appropriateness or quality of the information in such contents and for the objectionable, inaccurate, misleading or unlawful contents made available by a third party.

Use of the Application

The Application can be downloaded from Google Play and the Apple AppStore free of charge. The authorised use of the Application shall be regulated by the effective end-user license agreement of the service provider of the webshop as well, which shall be made available by the service provider. If there is any discrepancy between any stipulations of this Terms and Conditions of Use and the end-user license agreement, the stipulations of this Terms and Conditions of Use shall be governing.

 

Governing law, jurisdiction

Any questions not regulated herein shall be governed by the Hungarian legal regulations in force, especially Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code and the regulations of the Hungarian authorities, even in the case of a lack of any specific references. In case of any dispute between the User and the Operator regarding the use of the Application, the Parties stipulate the jurisdiction of the Hungarian courts and the application of Hungarian material and procedural laws.

 

Copyright

The Application and any video, audio and text content therein or the arrangement of such content shall be subject to copyright. Such copyrights - beyond personal use - in any form may be used only with the relevant, express written consent of the Operator.

The Operator allows the User to download the Application free of charge to his/her mobile phone and to get a single right to use the Application, this right shall, however, exclude the right of reproduction, adaptation or dissemination.

The User is warned that any use different from or in violation of the terms and conditions of the Operator, as detailed above, may entail copyright, civil and criminal law liabilities. The Operator takes steps against any violations it becomes aware of.

The User acknowledges that if s/he provides the Operator with any idea, recommendation on development or any other remarks, these may be used by the Operator, and the User shall not be entitled to reimbursement and/or copyright protection for it.
